Workers on the front lines at the LA County Sanitation Districts received a surprise donation from BU 500 steward Ruben Rios and an anonymous angel with first-hand knowledge of the importance of unions. They made more than 150 masks – all in purple, to symbolize SEIU 721 pride! As we all know, masks are in short supply globally. But they’re still needed on the front lines everywhere, including at LA County’s solid waste facilities and water reclamation plants. They stay open while millions stay at home.
