SEIU 721 President David Green Named to LA Mayor Karen Bass’ Transition Advisory Team

We have great news!

Our very own SEIU 721 President David Green has been named to join LA Mayor-elect Karen Bass’ transition advisory team.

Make no mistake, the City of Los Angeles is undergoing a transformative period in City history, with many new leaders taking office this week.

That’s why we’re proud to know that President David Green will have a strong voice at the table to guide the incoming Mayor on issues that impact public sector workers, and the communities that we serve throughout the City of Los Angeles.

Regardless of where our members work, this is a victory for every SEIU 721 member.

The City’s local economy, its infrastructure, and its policies impact the entire region and the services that our members provide.

Hundreds of us canvassed and phone banked to get Mayor Karen Bass elected because of her lifelong commitment to working families — and our volunteer work made a difference.

We now have labor champion as LA City Mayor, and President David Green is set join other labor and civic leaders to provide advice through the first 100 days of the Bass Administration.

But when those 100 days pass, please rest assured that our union will continue to have a strong voice in LA City Hall.

When we fight, we win!
