Pay raise coming for Sr. and Supervising Community Health Workers at LA County DMH

We have exciting news to share! All incoming and existing Sr. and Supervising Community Health Workers at LA County DMH have been raised to Step 6 – which means a pay raise will show up in the July 15 paycheck.

This new step increase is, in effect, a recruitment and retention bonus. It’s an incentive our union fought hard for at the negotiating table and we’re proud that our hard work will literally pay off for Sr. and Supervising CHWs.

The work we do is essential at DMH and we deserve the extra compensation we’ll be getting. DMH has a critical shortage of CHWs and we’re the workforce getting it done.

We’re aware that other Critical Shortage bonuses are being proposed by the CEO. We will continue to monitor the situation and our union will fight for our member’s voices to be heard.

So, enjoy the extra dollars and remember to always stick with the union!
