NLACRC COLA Increasing From 2% to 15%

Thanks to the tireless efforts of our Union Stewards and Leaders, we have successfully secured a side letter agreement with North LA County Regional Center (NLACRC) increasing our Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) from a mere 2% to an impressive 15%! All NLACRC employees will receive this COLA increase, which will take effect starting the second pay period after the agreement’s one-year anniversary.

This remarkable feat stands as a testament to the power of collective action and the strength of our unified voice. Through our persistent efforts during the monthly Joint Labor Management meetings, our Union Leadership has consistently highlighted the pressing concerns that have been driving our colleagues away. Now, after months of relentless advocacy and impassioned pleas, the NLACRC Administration has finally recognized the necessity of enhancing our contract terms to ensure the well-being and satisfaction of all our members.

The significance of this achievement cannot be overstated. It reflects the power of collective action and underscores the importance of our solidarity as a union. Together, we have demonstrated our ability to effect meaningful change and secure improvements that directly benefit our lives and livelihoods.

As we celebrate this milestone, let us also reaffirm our commitment to continue advocating for the rights and interests of all union members. Our success today serves as a reminder of what can be accomplished when we stand united.
