County of Ventura Bargaining Update #5 – October 3 2025

We met with negotiators on Wednesday, October 1 and there was still no economic proposals from the County!

The bargaining team let the County know that this was unacceptable and that we need an initial economic offer next week before we can make any more responses.

At this session, we continued to talk about Market Equity Adjustments, in total we submitted MEA’s for a total of 45 job series!

On Tuesday September 30th, we also went to the Board of Supervisors and gave public comment against the County’s plan to increase insurance premiums by 27%. County employees can’t bear the increased costs and any increases to healthcare can’t eat up our salary increases.

Our next bargaining session will be on Wednesday, October 8th.

Our next CAT meeting will be Thursday, October 9th (Hybrid Meeting) so keep an eye out for details on that meeting so you can attend and then share the bargaining updates with your coworkers.

This disrespect from the County at the table is unacceptable! We will be launching Rolling Rallies across the County to prove that we stand united and support our bargaining team. Click the button below to RSVP for the Rolling Rallies you’ll be able to attend.
