About Us – Occidental College Student Workers

We are Occidental College Student Workers. We are essential in our roles as resident advisors, graders, tutors, translators, researchers, lifeguards, service workers, photographers, mail clerks, tour guides, and more. Despite our diverse jobs on campus, we are united in our goals to win respect and a strong union contract that provides fair pay, consistent hours, job security, and the protections we deserve.

We stand in solidarity with professional staff and non-tenure track (NTT) faculty on campus, who are our SEIU 721 union siblings. We are also allied with various social organizations on campus that fight for justice and ensure that our college lives up to its commitment to build a culture of care that respects the dignity of all people.
