On May 4, 2012, the Coalition of LA City Unions was invited by
Councilmember Paul Krikorian to make a rare formal presentation to the
Budget and Finance Committee. Many coalition union members, including those from SEIU 721, spoke out and a 20-page
report written by the Coalition that was distributed containing an array of
revenue ideas to prevent any more layoffs and service cuts to Angelenos.Tell Mayor Villaraigosa and the City Council there is “A Better Way Forward.” This report by the Coalition of LA City Unions provides a full menu of revenue options to save City services and jobs. There is NO need to cut more services that residents rely on.
