We Saved the $15 Minimum Wage

Years back, SEIU 721 fought tooth and nail for a $15 minimum wage in LA County and today we successfully protected our victory! Today, the LA County Board of Supervisors announced that they will not be voting to postpone this year’s increase for working people.

SEIU 721 represents more than 60,000 workers in LA County, and this past week we flexed our union muscle to stand up for working people across LA County.

We thank the LA County Board of Supervisors for working closely with our union throughout this pandemic and for listening to our members, community allies and labor partners across our county. SEIU 721 members are seeing their households impacted by unemployment – the last thing working families need is less money in their pocket. Today more than ever, working people have to stand together and support one another.

SEIU Local 721 is committed to protecting working people during this crisis. Together we rise!
