Los Angeles County Gets Healthy

TableBanner595.jpg More than 700 Los Angeles County employees attended a health fair on Wednesday, March 30, where they were treated to free health screenings and received other information about staying healthy.
The event, the first of four this year sponsored by the Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) in collaboration with the Department of Human Resources, was held at the DPSS offices near downtown Los Angeles.
BP150.jpgParticipants were screened for blood pressure, blood cholesterol, glucose levels and body mass index. Everyone received “Know Your Numbers” cards, which allowed them to compare the results of their screenings against national standards.
If you missed the event, be sure to attend one of the next three, which will be held in other parts of Los Angeles County.
