SEIU 721 VP Simboa Wright and Treasurer Adolfo Granados join wildfire relief effort.

SEIU 721 Vice President Simboa Wright and Treasurer Adolfo Granados joined AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler and other labor leaders from around the LA region to deliver aid to union members affected by wildfires and discuss relief efforts with Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass.

Wright and Granados joined AFM Local 47 President Stephanie O’Keefe, and LA County Federation of Labor President Yvonne Wheeler, jumping in to distribute food boxes and air purifiers to LA-area union members in fire-ravaged communities.

Labor Community Services is leading emergency relief for union families affected by the 2025 wildfires, which destroyed more than 11,000 residential buildings. Nearly 3,500 SEIU Local 721 members live in areas directly impacted by the wildfires. More than 1,000 union members lost their homes in the disaster, including more than 90 members of SEIU 721.

“Our union is running non-stop to support SEIU 721 members and other union members affected by the fires and connect them with resources,” said Granados. “We’re working closely with LA leaders to make sure they deliver the help our members and other working Angelenos need.”
