New Contract Language Ensures Better Rights for Riverside County Members

New language in the side letter states:
“Vacant regular positions in SEIU represented classifications that a Department elects to fill shall be offered first to SEIU represented persons, by seniority, who have been noticed or permanently laid-off from another SEIU represented classification…”

The change in contract language will benefit SEIU 721 members laid off from Riverside County. Since July 2010, there have been about 85 layoffs. To read the full side letter, click here.

  1. The contracts states RN have flexible hours but it does not state if we can work 2 hors more that week to make up for the loss in holiday pay. we need a rep to contact. Thank you
