On Oct. 19, Ventura County workers showed their support for the 400 clinic workers who filed for recognition at the special Board of Supervisor’s meeting in Moorpark. Workers also spoke about the impact the new healthcare rates would have on employees.
“The medical premium increases scheduled to take effect in January will be the third time our paychecks have been cut in less than a year and County workers and their families need to become a priority” Shannon Abramovitch, Child Support Service Specialist III speaking at the Ventura County Board of Supervisors meeting.
On Oct. 21, members of the Ventura County Bargaining Committee and Contract Action Team greeted workers at the Hall of Administration on their way home. Workers held signs highlighting affordable healthcare was a priority for these negotiations.
