SEIU 721 Members Support Julia Brownley for Congress

SEIU 721 members have overwhelmingly recommended Julia Brownley to represent the region and the executive board has made it an official endorsement. For the first time in 24 years, the residents of east Ventura County will have the opportunity to elect new leadership in 26th Congressional District this November.
Additionally, residents in southeast and coastal Ventura  will also be a part of this newly drawn district. Currently, Brownley represents the 41st District in the State Assembly.

Assemblymember Brownley is an advocate for transparency and the author of the “The California Disclose Act.”
The new bipartisan bill, AB 1648, sponsored by the California Clean Money Campaign, is cco-authored by Assemblymember Nathan Fletcher (R-San Diego) and Assemblymember Cathleen Galgian
i (D-Livingston).
AB 1648 requires political ads to show their top three funders and their logos.
SEIU 721 members along with community allies will be phone banking and precinct walking for Julia Brownley as well as other candidates before the June 5th primary.
