DCFS Social Workers met with a deputy in each Supervisor’s office to discuss the needs of the department.
In the meeting, social workers asked for more resources, less paperwork, less policies and to hire 1400 more social workers. Social workers want to provide the best care for the children of LA County, but need help.
The Board of Supervisors has the power to help by making these significant changes.
“It’s simple. We need more social workers. We need less policies. We need more resources. This is how we can do high quality social work for the children and families of Los Angeles County.”
