For employees eligible for Flex benefits, LA City is announcing the 2014 Dependent Eligibility Verification program. The program is designed to ensure that all dependents enrolled in Flex health plans are actually eligible for coverage.
It’s part of the City’s commitment to control health care costs and promote the sustainability of our health benefits.
If you don’t have a dependent enrolled in the Flex health plan, you don’t need to take any action.
If you have a dependent enrolled in the City’s Flex health plan, you must take action soon to confirm your dependent’s eligibility and keep your dependent enrolled.
- Look for an important package mailed to your home address in mid-April.
- If you do not provide required proof of eligibility by the deadline, your enrolled dependents will lose their medical and dental coverage under the LA City Flex plan.
