Our L.A.S.C. Bargaining Team is Ready!

Our Los Angeles Superior Court contracts are set to expire on June 30 of this year, and our Bargaining Team is determined to represent the needs of our members and all those we serve through court services and the justice system!

Last November, all of the members of our Bargaining Units received calls for nominations by US Mail and through our worksite organizers. Those received by Earl Thompson, and Robert Mejia, were placed before members for election.

On January 22, we proudly announced the formation of our Bargaining Team, and are now making preparations to negotiate the best possible contract for the future. If you would like to join our Contract Action Team, (CAT) please contact your worksite organizer.

As always, we prepare for bargaining with our eyes wide open.  We know that once again it will be a tough bargaining environment.  Under the circumstances, it is important that SEIU Local 721 members unite behind a well-considered bargaining strategy for the sake of the members of the public who rely on the services we provide through the courts, and for the sake of our households and communities who can’t thrive without the pay and benefits of good, middle class jobs.
