What is Public Service Recognition Week ?
Celebrated the 1st full week in May since 1985, Public Service Recognition Week (PSRW) is a time set aside to honor the men and women who serve our nation as federal, state, county and local government employees. Throughout the nation and the world, public servants use this occasion to educate others about the work they do and why they have chosen public service careers, as well as the many ways government services make life better for all of us.
Last year was the first year that we incorporated Public Service Recognition Week in the Inland Region and it was extremely successful because we highlighted your work. It is a time to stop and thank you for your contributions to making the inland region thrive.
All over this region public service employees will be lauded with proclamations being read in honor of the hard work and valuable service you give to your communities. Please plan to attend one and RSVP. See the list below.
