What is Public Service Recognition Week ?
Celebrated the 1st full week in May since 1985, Public Service Recognition Week (PSRW) is a time set aside to honor the men and women who serve our nation as federal, state, county and local government employees. Throughout the nation and the world, public servants use this occasion to educate others about the work they do and why they have chosen public service careers, as well as the many ways government services make life better for all of us.
During National Social Worker Appreciation Month, SEIU 721 proudly honors our dedicated members who serve the most vulnerable residents in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Ventura Counties.
As we enter the new year, the SEIU 721 City of Riverside chapter General and Refuse units are ready to enter in negotiations for a new contract. Nominations are in, and ballots have been mailed to members’ homes.
