Ventura County: Your Rights Protected During Contract Bargaining

On Monday, Sept. 27, the SEIU 721 bargaining team met with Ventura County management and discussed proposals and scheduled future negotiation dates.  Although, the Ventura County contract expires on Thursday, Sept. 30 it will roll over day by day while negotiations continue.

In addition to bargaining team members, it is critical that all members stay informed and are active during these negotiations.  A strong contract is achieve beyond the bargaining table. It’s won through the tangible and visible support of the membership.

  1. I was thinking we need to better utilize the internet for reaching our members. Funny thing the next day another member suggested the same thing. Some meetings can be transmitted by internet, You Tube, or whatever to let other members who just want to go home after work get audio visual reports or even real time streaming videos of meetings. Anyway think about it. Come up with your own ideas. I think there’s a future in this internet stuff.
