Delegate Nominations and Elections Information for the 2012 SEIU Convention

Nominations will be accepted by petition, which means members who are interested in being nominated must submit at least 10 signatures from duespaying members in their specific region. Please refer to the
Summary of Convention Delegates by Region
to see which region you belong.
The names and signatures will be verified and if at least 10 signatures are valid, then the nominee’s name will be added to the ballot as a candidate.
Please see the special note on the

regarding small bargaining units and those grouped with more than one bargaining unit.
The deadline to return
Nomination Petitions
is 5 pm on March 5, 2012 to the SEIU Local 721 Office at 1545 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, Calif., 90017.
Candidate Eligibility Requirements: Please note that in order to be a candidate, you must be a member in good standing for two continuous years, cannot be convicted of a disqualifying crime and cannot be a current elected officer of the Local.
TrueBallot, an independent third-party agency, will initiate the election process by sending ballots to members after the deadline for nominations.
The deadline to submit ballots is March 29
. TrueBallot will count the votes on March 29
. Results will be announced on March 30
.
