On Saturday, Aug. 17, from 12 noon to 5 p.m. at Dodgers Stadium (1000 Elysian Park Ave., Los Angeles 90012), working families are invited to make a fresh start of the school year by attending the annual Fresh Start Festival. It’s also a chance to think about generating a fresh start for California’s economy through civic participation.
Fresh Start Fest 2010 brought together over 7,000 local seniors, adults and children from Southern California. In 2011 there were over 11,000 attendees in Watts and another 2,000 in West Oakland.
Families all over California are struggling in this difficult economy and need this festival now more than ever!
