Make Your Voice Heard at LA County DHS!

The Board recognized the importance of SEIU 721 members and through our critical involvement and hard work we won an official seat at the table to have a greater say under this integrated health system. Now is the time to exercise our voice!

As the front-line workers at LA County, DHS employees have the expertise and knowledge to give management the necessary feedback on how to better manage resources and improve the delivery of high quality services! Now is the time for DHS employees to voice their opinion by taking the DHS Employment Survey from now until Monday, February 29, 2016.

The DHS Employee Engagement Survey is the First system-wide survey to measure employee engagement and how invested employees feel in their DHS work and teams.   The survey will give all employees the opportunity to identify the strengths and weaknesses and help build a healthy workplace in DHS facilities, and the survey can be done during work hours.

The survey is a joint effort of DHS and SEIU Local 721, the Union of American Physicians and Dentists (UAPD), the Committee of Interns and Residents (CIR) and AFSCME Local 2712.

If you complete the electronic survey, you’ll have an opportunity to enter a drawing for gifts cards and a grand prize.  You’ll need to provide your contact information for the drawing but that information will not be linked back to your survey responses.  There will be weekly gift card drawings so plan to take the survey as soon as you can.  DHS is also designating Leap Day, February 29, 2016, as a jeans day so all employees who participate in the survey can wear jeans to work.

Make your voice heard! Take the survey by Monday, February 29th.
