SEIU 721 to Honor ‘Champions for Our Children’

March is Social Work Month. In this spirit, SEIU 721 is proud to recognize the work of our members and our allies in the social work field by hosting our annual “Champions for Our Children” gathering.

It will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 9 A.M. to Noon at the SEIU 721 Headquarters at 1545 Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles. (RSVP at the bottom of this web page.)

Attendees will enjoy free BBQ, T-shirts, gift bags and a fun raffle. The entire event is FREE OF CHARGE to all SEIU 721 members – and it includes free child care!

This year, our Guest of Honor is Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger.

Supervisor Barger has done so much to place greater focus on the needs of foster care families throughout northern Los Angeles County and beyond.

We’ll also honor the careers and achievements of Joan Marks and Ursula Hampton – two retired Los Angeles County social workers who dedicated their entire professional lives to child safety.

To RSVP, just fill out the form below.

If you have any questions, can call the Member Connection at (877) 721-4YOU. We hope to see you there!

Many thanks to our Champions for Our Children Planning Committee – including Jerry Clyde, Almira Garza, Michael Green, Linda Jackson, Robin Mosley, Yadira Villa and Sharonda Wade. Together, we rise!
