Court Support Services and Official Court Reporter Agreement Delivers for Court Employees with 11% Raises and Bolstered Benefits!
SEIU Local 721 and the County of Los Angeles have reached a Tentative Agreement on a new three-year contract. Detailed tentative agreement summaries, including significant gains on bargaining unit specific issues, will be available soon. At as many worksites as possible, membership meetings will be held to review the tentative agreements prior to the ratification vote. More information on ratification coming very soon, stay tuned. For now, here are some of the highlights and breakthroughs.
The SEIU Local 721 Tri-Counties Regional Center (TCRC) bargaining team met with Center negotiators on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, and reached a tentative agreement. Meetings were set up in all TCRC office cities to share the details of the tentative agreement and for members to vote on the agreement. Members voted overwhelmingly, by 95%, to ratify the tentative agreement.
The TCRC board met and approved the contract.
SEIU Local 721 members unanimously voted to approve a tentative agreement with Las Virgenes Municipal Water District on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014.
SEIU 721 Gold Coast Transit members voted strongly to approve the Tentative Agreement with Gold Coast Transit. The bargaining team had been bargaining since January of 2014.
SEIU Local 721 members at the Ventura Regional Sanitation District (VRSD) voted to approve the Tentative Agreement on February 26, 2014. The VRSD board voted to approve the Memorandum of Understanding on March 6.
SEIU 721 members in the City of Simi Valley voted overwhelmingly to ratify the tentative agreement with a 97% Yes vote.
