Braving scorching heat, tumble weeds the size of small cars, and a slithering snake, more than 20 SEIU 721 Inland Area members and their families joined the Riverside community in the Great American Cleanup. The event happened on Saturday, May 11, 2013.

I’m proud to work for the City of Riverside and I hate to see areas of graffiti like this, so to be able to bring my kids and team up with other SEIU 721 members to spend a few hours cleaning our community feels great.”

Dripping Paint and Sweat
After painting over graffiti on two commercial buildings and cleaning up the area along railroad tracks near Central Avenue in Riverside, members went to City Hall for a lunch and brief awards ceremony, where they were recognized for their contribution to the cleanup.
