But we are, as the Commission said, “overwhelmed by caseloads significantly above the national average” and forced to deal regularly with the problem of where to place endangered children when there is a “shortage of safe and appropriate foster homes.”
Compton Job Fair Draws Hundreds
SEIU 721 co-sponsored the Compton Job Fair on April 5. Nearly 1,000 job-seekers lined up for the event, which featured dozens of vendors.

Nurse Leaders from across the LA County Health Division gathered for a SEIU 721 Nurse Leadership conference. The theme was inspired by the Gandhi quote, “Be the Change You Want to See.”
