Riverside County Retiree Health and Job Parity Survey Now Open

riv_co_campaign_2014_our_county_595p.jpgUPDATE: 31 July 2014The survey is now CLOSED. Thanks to all the Riverside County members who responded, we received a record number of surveys. Results are currently being analyzed and will be shared with the Bargaining Team and members in the coming weeks.

Public employees have been under attack by anti-worker interest groups who have tried to blame public service workers for the recession. The real facts are that Riverside County public service retirees only receive $25 a month toward retiree medical benefits and some current workers are below community standards in wages.

County members have the opportunity to improve these benefits and to win job parity fairness as they enter discussions with County management.

To assist the bargaining team in setting priorities for these discussions, SEIU 721 Riverside County members are asked to fill out a brief survey. Please fill out below or click this link.

Next Steps

The deadline for filling out the survey is Thursday, July 31, 2014. The quickest way is to complete the bargaining survey online today. However, surveys can be dropped off at the Riverside or Palm Springs offices, given to a worksite organizer or steward, or faxed to (951) 653-6310.

The bargaining teams will review results at their next meeting.
