Riverside City Team Presents Comprehensive Proposals; Management Shows No Movement

Contract Bargaining Update

For over a month the SEIU 721 Riverside City bargaining team has presented comprehensive proposals and management has responded with a resounding NO
.
Management has said No to:
economic enhancements
offsetting the continual increase in health care costs
respecting the hardworking men and women who have gone for years without COLAs, who have struggled with increases in health care, child care, gas and groceries, yet have never stopped providing quality services to the Riverside community.

Things are getting better in our city, thanks in large part to SEIU 721 Riverside City members who have gone without for several years. It’s time for management to recognize that we have sacrificed and that our families are struggling. Management needs to come to the talbe with fair and equitable proposals.
– Enrique Barboza, Field Service Assistant, City Chapter 2nd VP and bargaining team member
Next bargaining date is May 2.
