United Way and SEIU 721 have partnered to kick off a one-month long campaign this June to help break the cycle of poverty for our most vulnerable neighbors–families, children, veterans and the homeless.
SEIU Local 721 social workers spoke up at the Board of Supervisors meeting on May 20 to urge the Board to support children in Santa Barbara County by improving recruitment and retention of social workers to keep children safe.

On March 5, SEIU 721 resolved their dispute over unfair labor practices charges during the strike with LA County. The County stated that all union members have the right to participate in concerted, collective activities, including the types of activities engaged in during the contract campaign.
Shout it loud and proud: LA County members have a tentative agreement to vote on.The new LA County contract will bring raises, increase benefits and lift up the residents of LA County.
SEIU Local 721 members marched alongside elected officials, local residents, community leaders and high school marching bands in MLK Parades in Los Angeles and Oxnard.
