The win puts a capstone on a year’s worth of grassroots organizing by ‘Pasadenans for a Livable Wage,’ a coalition that includes SEIU 721 and our Fight for 15 LA, low-wage workers and fellow unions, religious leaders, and other community partners working to push the city to $15.


Make Your Voice Heard at LA County DHS!

We supported and advocated for the creation of an Integrated Health Agency at LA County, and the Board of Supervisors listened to our concerns when they voted to make this new department a reality last year!

It’s official. The 2016 Executive Board (E-Board) Election process is well under way.

Ballots must be returned to and received at the post office by 9 am on March 11, 2016 in the envelope provided

Members Overwhelmingly Vote to Raise Up all of LA County!

In addition to raising working families, the contract boasts key victories targeting the recruitment and retention of experienced staff through salary adjustments in the Department of Health Services as well as directly improving the quality of services through a reduction of caseloads for Social Workers at the Department of Children and Family Services.

On October 21, 2015, the 2013-14 participants in the Gateway Care Improvement Teams were honored by the Board of Supervisors & the Productivity and Quality Commission  for significant improvements in our work with primary care patients.   



LA County TA Voting via the Web

We’re now entering Week 2 of LA County Tentative Agreement (TA) voting! Since October 21st, members throughout LA County have been making their voices heard by casting their ballots at worksite locations, and at Local 721.
