On Tuesday, Dec. 8, the Board of Supervisors approved unit contracts for all SEIU Local 721 Los Angeles County bargaining unit members.
Both SEIU 721 and the International have committed to continue providing mental and support services as the workers try to move forward after this traumatic event.
In addition to raising working families, the contract boasts key victories targeting the recruitment and retention of experienced staff through salary adjustments in the Department of Health Services as well as directly improving the quality of services through a reduction of caseloads for Social Workers at the Department of Children and Family Services.
