Sisters and brothers: As you read these words, we’re less than 70 days away from the most important election many of us will see in our lifetimes.
Join us on Tues., Aug. 30 when the Santa Ana Chapter of SEIU Local 721 interviews candidates for the Santa Ana City Council and School Board! Dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. and Q&A begins at 6:15 p.m.
This is OUR CHANCE to ask questions directly to all candidates – and to learn about their agenda for our Santa Ana community! After the Q&A, we’ll vote and make official candidate endorsements. Don’t miss it!
Our top story this month is the victory by San Bernardino Professionals, a textbook example of how member leadership can use the “Power of Purple” — our union’s deep resources; our experienced negotiators; our skilled team of attorneys, researchers, and communications experts; and our relationships with community, clergy, and political leaders — to win game-changing wins at the bargaining table.
Eligible candidates may begin to collect signatures from current full dues- paying members in good standing starting on July 8, 2016.
Attention members! There’s been a recent change to how members can access recreation ticket services.
On Friday, April 29th we will be moving one step closer to bringing to fruition the 5,000 new jobs negotiated last year during our contract negotiations.
The ballot count for the 2016 SEIU International Convention Delegate Election was tabulated on April 18, 2016 by TrueBallot, Inc. The United States Post Office in Los Angeles, CA acted as Depositor for receipt of all ballots.
